    I think, if we just look at nature and think of ourselves as evolved animals, polygamy is abundant, but not wholly encountered throughout the anilam kingdom, there are animals who mate for life. Personally, I think it's the natural phenomena, societal and cultural mores have more to do with monogamy than nature does.

    Are you interested in just polygamy defined as "The condition or practice of having more than one spouse at one time. Also called plural marriage."

    or perhaps polyamory defined as "participation in multiple and simultaneous loving or sexual relationships"

    {All definitions from Dictionary.com}

    Because I believe that it is possible to have an intimate relationship with more than one person at a time but I do not believe that it is necessary to get the government or any religion involved in the process.

    Basically, I do believe having multiple partners is natural; especially for men in order to spread the seed...

    According to some scientists (so take it however) the ridge around the penis head is an indicator that cavewomen were either unfaithful or polygamy occurred, as that ridge, and the way we have sex, ie multiple many thrusting actions, is perfect to remove any previous semen in the woman (ie to remove the previous guys load) and so increase the chance that the child will be yours.
